Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American and Canadian artist and singer. Her catalog includes more than 20 albums. The music of DiFranco is classified as folk, alternative and rock but she also draws influences from jazz and hip-hop. Ani DiFranco is widely recognized as a feminist icon, and Grammy-winning performer, is regarded as the pioneer of DIY music. She was among the first musicians to start her own label in 1990. DiFranco was the child of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They were introduced in their school, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother and father were both from Montreal descent. Ani DiFranco composed and performed 32 Flavors. The song is from her album from 1995 Not a Pretty Girl, which was DiFranco's sixth studio release. It was also featured on the soundtrack of the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. DiFranco apologized in 2013 after it was announced that she was planning to hold a three day workshop at the Louisiana slave plantation. She cancelled it but many (including the author of this article) didn't detect remorse. DiFranco released a second apology two days following the first. Little Folksinger is a musician who has worked with a variety of artists, including Pete Seeger, Chuck D and Prince. She lives in New Orleans. Ani was born Kristen Ford. By 14 she was writing her own songs. She performed them in coffeehouses and bars through her teenage years. DiFranco completed her studies at the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts high school when she was 16, and enrolled in the classes of Buffalo State College. Ani's brand new baritone Alvarez was custom made by her following numerous discussions with me, Chrys and Chrys's representative Chrys at Alvarez. From the debut album Looking Glass, Brandy is an 1972 American pop-rock track from 1972. Elliot Lurie, the lead guitarist for Looking Glass and co-vocalist wrote the track.
