The time she worked working at The Washington Post was spent reporting on multiple Olympics, Grand Slam Tennis as well as basketball and football. Nichols spent nine years at ESPN and won two Emmy Awards. She was also one of the networks' Monday Night Football broadcasts as an on-line reporter. Then she moved on to CNN as well as Turner Sports.
